COMBINATION OF ONDANSETRON +RANITIDINE
ONDALINK-R is a member of a class of medications that includes gastrointestinal and anti-emetics. It is mostly used to treat acid reflux, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. The illness known as gastro-oesophageal reflux disease is caused by excessive production of stomach acid, which irritates and damages the sphincter, the valve at the top of the stomach. Heartburn and upset stomach are the results of stomach acid getting into the food pipe. The aftereffect of acid reflux is heartburn, which is characterised by a burning sensation that travels from the stomach to the neck. Vomiting is the body’s natural reaction to forcibly expel the contents of the stomach, whereas nausea is an uncomfortable feeling that makes one want to throw up.
Ondansetron and Ranitidine make up ONDALINK-R. Ranitidine is an H2 blocker that lowers stomach acid production and relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn. However, “Ondansetron” inhibits the function of serotonin, a naturally occurring chemical that can induce nausea and vomiting. Ranitidine plus ondansetron therefore stops nausea and vomiting brought on by illnesses such cancer chemotherapy, surgery, pregnancy, or motion sickness.
It is administered by a healthcare professional or nurse, and to ensure safety, timing, and dosage should be followed as prescribed by the doctor.
