PROPOWER An injection is a medication used to manage excessive uterine bleeding that may happen during childbirth. It helps control postpartum hemorrhage by stimulating the contraction of the uterine muscles.
PROPOWER Injection contain CARBOPROST TROMETHAMINE, which stimulates in the gravid uterus myometrial contraction similar to labour contractions at the end of full term pregnancy. It also stimulates the smooth muscle of the human gastrointestinal tract which may produce the vomiting or diarrhoea or both common in most of cases.
It is used in post-delivery bleeding because in some women after women may experience heavy bleeding due to uterus not contracting properly so this injection is used to control this bleeding.
