Amoxycillin Sodium Injection is a sterile, broad-spectrum penicillin for injection when oral therapy is inappropriate. Protech Telelinks is the manufacturer of Amoxycillin Sodium Injection for pharma marketers, PCD companies and institutional suppliers under their own brand through WHO GMP certified manufacturing partners.
Dry powder form (semi-synthetic aminopenicillin) to be reconstituted with sterile water just prior to use; quickly attains therapeutic blood concentrations for severely ill or vomiting patients that are unable to swallow.
The basics: Amoxycillin is bactericidal. It inhibits peptidoglycan cross-linking in the bacterial cell wall by binding to transpeptidases, with subsequent cell lysis. It covers Streptococcus pneumoniae, S. pyogenes, non-penicillinase producing Staphylococcus, H. influenzae, E. coli and P. mirabilis, though it is not active against strains that produce β-lactamase, the strains which should then be treated with an amoxycillin + clavulanic acid combination.
Solution is unstable in concentrated form, made fresh when required and used immediately. Vials are single use. Dose, Frequency & Duration: decided by the treating physician on the basis of infection, age, weight & renal function. Dose is to be reduced when renal impairment is present. Use as per authorized package insert.
